An outstanding experience that we will not soon forget. The hard work to
trek up to the top of the volcano is all worthwhile once you see the
sun break through and Lombok appears in the distance. The guides are
very kind and knowledgeable, always smiling and encouraging us. They
definitely helped to make this an adventure we would highly recommend.

wonderful trip and great guides. The people of the town that is nestled
between batur and agun are very special based on my experience with the
guided Tour up my batur. I saw on numerous occasions the guides helping
down the whole way struggling hikers, always with a smile and cheerful
talk.

On our first visit to Bali, my husband, two friends and I decided to climb Mt Batur.
We left Nusa Dua at 2am and arrived around 4am, and met with our guide, Ketut, who was organized through our driver.
The start of the walk was quite exciting, as it was completely dark, and we had to wear head torches, and also jackets to keep warm, even though the weather in Bali is normally quite warm.
The beginning of the trek was quite flat, then we started moving up the volcano.
It was amazing as we kept getting higher, the sky was lit up by the moon, and soon the sun would start rising, just in time for us to reach the first stop, where there was some photo opportunities. Three of us went all the way to the top, which was a tougher hike, but definitely worth it, and what an amazing view from there.
All in all, the walk was an amazing experience, and definitely gave the taste for more. We will absolutely recommend to friends and family and other people travelling to Bali to climb Mt Batur. Just make sure you are properly equipped with good shoes (we actually saw some people with flip flips!) and I would also recommend walking sticks as they make it easier to climb up and are good to support you on the way down.
This time, this was the maximum I could do, as I am pregnant, but I hope that we can return again and also climb Mt Agung and maybe also see Lombok.

Arriving at Jati temple/Pura Jati we went down and welcomed by the Mount Batur guide who knows all the situation of the volcano, this man guidance and explains all about the volcano.from the top of the mountain we could see the sunrise and the mount renjani at lombok island.
it was really memorable experience during my vacation in bali.
Reasonable price with the service, that was very satisfying for us,

It was safe it made us very nervous especially as we got the impression
we'd be with other people.Things only got worse when we arrived at a hut
and were greeted by more local, unsure of what to expect or what we
were doing we felt very unsafe. It took us 50 minutes before we saw
other people and felt really safe
We were three women doing the hike and found the start of the hike quite un-nerving. Our driver guide for volcano hiking dropped us off in an empty car-park where there no other tourist, signs to the mountain or company or briefing about the hike. In the car park we were met by another guide and taken to the start of the hike which happened to be in pitch black woods.
Although, it was fine and our guide was brilliant (if maybe a bit forward at times) we wish we'd be told about this or giving a briefing so we knew what to expect.
Thanks so much ketut
